A Condition & Value (Insurance) Survey, often referred to as a C&V Survey or Insurance Survey, is a condensed version of a pre-purchase survey that focuses on the "seaworthiness" and safety aspects of the vessel. Also included is a market valuation of the vessel. The survey can be performed with the vessel hauled or in the water, depending on the criteria of the insurance company. A sea trial is not normally performed. A Condition & Value Survey from Donnalley Marine is guaranteed to meet the standards of the requesting insurance company. This does not necessarily mean the insurance company will insure your boat. An insurance company may opt to decline coverage or insist that certain deficiencies are corrected before issuing coverage.
